Troubleshooting in-app purchases

In several occasions it might appear that purchased items are not available. No worries!

First of all, make sure that your purchase is processed successfully and your account or credit card is actually being billed. This might take a while, but is a prerequisite for purchase completion.

IMPORTANT: Once an in-app purchase is completed, it remains forever, no matter if you uninstall the app or even change your device! In-app purchases are never lost, as long as the login account remains the same.

There are two distinct cases:

Single account in the device, or purchase made from the main login account
This is the most common case. Purchases are automatically restored on app install on a new device, no additional steps are required. To restore the purchases on already installed app you can follow the steps below:
1. Open Application Manager
2. Select the app
3. Force Stop the app to ensure it is not running in background
4. Clear both app cache and app data
5. Make sure your device is online
6. Start the app
7. Purchased items will be auto-restored and will be available on next app runs even if offline

Multiple accounts in the device and purchase made not from the main login account
To say it straight – there is no easy way to do this and the issue is out of our control. More info about the actual problem can be found at the Google Support forums below:
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/play/jmyM0Sgl_jM
Best way to resolve this, is to temporary delete all other accounts from the device and only leave the account with which the purchase is done and re-install the app:
1. Uninstall the app
2. Set the account with which the purchase is made as default account in Play Store. Ways to do this may vary depending on the Play Store version and device, but usually is done via starting Play Store app -> Select the three horizontal bars icon on top left to bring up the menu -> From the drop-down menu at the top select the account with which the purchase is done.
Once the account is switched, you can verify, that it really contains the purchase via selecting “Account” (down  the list in the menu) -> Order history.
Some sources point out, that reinstalling the app after this step might be sufficient to fix the issue, during our tests this turned out not to be the case.
3. Open device accounts and delete all other accounts, leaving only the account with which the purchase is made. Ways to do this may vary depending on the device, but usually is done via Settings (Not “Google Settings”!) -> Accounts -> Google -> Select the account to remove -> More -> Remove account. Repeat for all other accounts to remove.
4. Restart the device. Not sure if this step is actually needed, but some sources point out that it might help.
5. Make sure your device is online
6. Install and start the app
7. Purchased items will be auto-restored and will be available on next app runs even if offline
8. Add back all other accounts which were removed in step 3
